Hyland Solution Marketing Manager, Higher Education in westlake, Ohio

Overview

The Solution Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and telling a story to both internal and external audiences about the value of OnBase in their assigned industry to build reputation and drive demand for OnBase.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an industry subject matter expert and define the market opportunity for assigned industries

  • Participate in go-to-market planning with key stakeholders from across the company to define, support and grow the portfolio of offerings by monitoring industry trends

  • Understand target buyer needs, define buyer personas and refine specific audiences through targeting and segmentation

  • Build positioning, messaging and content architecture for a defined list of Solutions within the assigned industry

  • Interface with all levels of organizations, including external customers, executive management, partners, media, and analysts and be able to demo industry solutions and speak at relevant conferences, analyst engagements and media sources

  • Understand the competitive landscape within vertical specific and/or niche solutions to identify opportunities for growth and impending risks in order to effectively position against like offerings from other organizations

  • Identify and secure a range of key customer testimonials for external/internal use

  • Manage assigned budget while making recommendations to best optimize marketing spend to accomplish goals.

  • Direct the creation of content in the industry vernacular focused on buyer roles to support both inbound and outbound marketing efforts as well as sales enablement needs

  • Mentor, coach and train associated industry marketing team members across the marketing organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Signifcant experience in the higher education industry

  • Significant experience in product marketing

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Cloud Computing, IT infrastructure, and software deployment methods

  • Strong writing/presentation building, verbal, written, digital, and graphic communication skills

  • Strong Project Management skills

  • Ability to self-direct and self-motivate your efforts, both short and long term, to meet deadlines and maintain high quality content, without the need for close supervision

  • Superior Web research and analysis skills

  • Ability to quickly understand complex, new technologies and their application within enterprise software solutions

  • An understanding of corporate finance and ROI practices

  • Knowledge of the enterprise sales process and the product collateral needs for effective value based solution marketing and selling

  • Relevant education and software experience with cloud, IT infrastructure and deployments

  • Passion and enthusiasm for learning the OnBase product suite

  • Dual background in enterprise software technologies and technical solution marketing, training or communications

  • Up to 20% travel required

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
