Quaker Chemical Sr. Marketing & Sales Specialist - EP in United States

Coordinate efforts between Sales and Marketing to better support company’s efforts to drive product sales by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sales opportunities. Initiate and implement sales out calling program to increase revenue and develop a higher level of customer intimacy. Actively solicits product opportunities, referring leads as appropriate. Provides telephone support to customers. Engages in other sales-related duties as needed. Contact current and potential customers by phone to grow prospects and sales. Drive product sales by identifying and developing all relevant sales opportunities for referral to Territory Managers. Generate market interest by executing out calling sales campaigns, surveys, product selection support, technical support and sales promotions. Engage in other sales and customer service support duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform out calling to qualify and classify leads from all trade shows, advertising and web forms

  • Identify and provide literature and technical product information to qualified leads

  • Inform Territory Managers and manufacturer’s reps of qualified lead opportunities for follow-up

  • Track leads from shows, advertising and web forms to initial purchase as customer

  • Initiate and manage communication with prospects and customers to facilitate support activities, including product introductions and pricing updates

  • Guide customers through all support requests, including general inquiries, quotations, pricing, technical product information, product application, product selection, sample requests, order placement, establishing payment terms, delivery, returns and error resolution

  • Reactivate dormant customers

  • Initiate and implement upselling programs for different product lines

  • Coordinate independent large job bid program with qualified dealers/contractors

  • Provide competitive analysis on a periodic basis

  • Research prospective and existing customers

  • Develop in depth knowledge of entire EPMAR product line

  • Develop in depth knowledge of customer base per product line

  • Track activity, including creation and maintenance of lead and customer records/profiles and reports

  • Develop out calling scripts

  • Perform to meet quotas/targets established by management

  • Collect and process quote requests, orders, order revisions, invoices, credit card/wire transfer/cash payments, credits, debits and return authorizations (RMA) using telephone, fax, email and mail to support domestic and international customers

  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate timely processing, shipping and delivery of orders including, sales, finance, manufacturing and logistics

  • Understand, update and maintain customer contracts

  • Cultivate positive and enduring, result-oriented relationship with customers and coworkers

  • Support Customer Service activities as needed to perform work associated with processing customer orders, including receiving and verifying purchase orders, ensuring availability, processing shipments, monitoring delivery dates, and resolving order processing issues and problems.

  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group or other team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in related field with a minimum of 2 years direct experience; or equivalent combination of education/experience.

  • Must be able to perform work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

  • Experience with contract review

  • Experience in manufacturing environment
