General information: Department: Enterprise Marketing Overview: This role requires a talented marketing professional with experience with Life and Long Term Care hybrid products sold through Broker/Dealers (B/Ds), Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs) and Brokerage General Agencies (BGAs). In this role you will provide quality service to distribution partners, manage and develop impactful marketing plans targeting consumers and our distribution intermediaries as well as support the distribution channels dedicated to these products. This role will both create marketing assets as well as partner with distribution and channel partners on the sale of the products. We seek a strategic and dynamic self-starter with a well-rounded foundation of cross-discipline marketing skills, and the ability to adapt them to a rapidly evolving marketing organization. The ability to be a liaison with internal product lines and strike the right balance of client service, consulting and execution with a strong roll-up your sleeves and 'get it done' mentality. This motivating individual must be able to think at a high-level and guide fast implementation and measurement. What you would do in this job: Consulting and partnering with product manufacturing and distribution teams to launch and maintain product marketing strategies throughout the value chain to grow sales and market share. Manage the launch of new products, the creation of new client and advisor material, including compliance review and internal agency design. Implement marketing campaigns by developing innovative and effective tactics in partnership with internal and corporate departments, and vendors as necessary while managing marketing projects from start to finish. Develop specialized marketing collateral across multiple touch points specific to the needs of individual clients and/or for leverage across the client segments. Create audience-centric messages that resonate and foster specific audience action steps (e.g., sales and planning concepts, tactics for integrating hybrid products into a holistic planning approach). Develop and refine marketing/communication materials tailored to sales and planning situations (presentations, talking points, thought pieces, promotional communications, scripts, digital tactics, etc.). Support sales and service efforts of manufacturing and distribution divisions. Have a deep understanding of indirect insurance product distribution. Be able to integrate marketing messages for a variety of distribution audiences (internal and external wholesalers, BGAs, IMOs, BDs and their respective sales desks). Track and monitor the effectiveness of each marketing effort. Research and recommend enhancements to processes within all distribution channels to increase results. Contribute to the development, enhancement and implementation of promotional materials to increase the sale of Securian products within diverse distribution channels. Materials include: New and/or enhanced product roll-outs according to established quarterly schedules. Product training for wholesalers, distribution customers and home office associates. Product positioning - both from a competitive and market niche perspective. Manages, develops and implements related projects as directed. Manages personal development to thrive in a rapidly changing marketing environment. What we'd expect from you: At least five years of experience within a Marketing/Communications role. At least five years of experience with Life/LTC hybrid insurance products. Experience within financial services. Experience in adhering to various regulatory requirements for marketing literature. Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Marketing or Journalism. FINRA Series 6 license, and 63 license or willing to obtain. Excellent strategic skills. Knowledge of the latest marketing innovations. Proficiency with numbers, budget and time management. Great presentation, written and oral communication
