Brown-Forman Sr Trade Marketing Manager Off-Trade (Maternity Cover approx24 months) in Hamburg, Germany

Job Description:


Aligned with Brown-Formans long-term brand building and profit growth strategies, this position seeks to optimize the route to new and existing consumers of the BF portfolio in the German Off-Trade holistically. It will indirectly connect with consumers by optimizing the customer approach in the Off-Trade business.

Basic Function & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the annual set up of optimal consumer & customer promotion targets for the Off-Trade by brand and KA in collaboration with Shopper Marketing, KA functions and Brand Management.

  • Responsible for annual set up and tracking of related A&P and allowance budgets.

  • Collaborates with Shopper Marketing, POS & Channel Development & Sales Off-Trade (Sales Force Managers & KAM) to gain more Off-Trade facts and consequently insights.

  • Independently capitalizes information resources such as Nielsen Market Track, IRI, GfK or USP

  • Supports the preparation, execution and evaluation of in-market tests

  • Collaborates with Brand Marketing in preparation and conduct of new product launches

  • Plans, develops, executes, evaluates and reports brand and trade promotions & promotion material:

  • Leads external agencies on projects

  • Collaborates with Purchasing Dep't on POSM development & optimal warehousing

  • Coordinates with Off-Trade Sales Force Managers, National & Regional Key Account Managers & Brand Marketing

  • Aligns with Finance on correct accounting of activities

  • Regularly provides reports on promotions and progress to planned status

  • Participates in regional Sales Force & select brand and KA meetings

  • Provides functional and disciplinary leadership for 1-2 employees and guarantees the performance within their respective responsibilities.

Must Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or trained Off-Trade category or store manager

  • At least 5 years’ experience with Off-Trade channel or Trade Marketing

  • FMCG experience

  • Major in Marketing or Sales

  • Sales Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of Off-Trade channel & customers

  • Strong conceptual skills
