Job Description Summary
Locations: Eysins, Switzerland, or France (Pont-de-Claix), the Netherlands (Drachten), Italy (Milan), UK (Winnersh), Sweden (Stockholm), will also be considered.
Lead the market development strategy to shape and build Becton Dickinson's Homecare Infusion portfolio in Europe.
The European Market Development Manager is responsible for defining and growing the Homecare infusion portfolio, a key growth area for the European region.
The role requires working closely with the country teams to implement the market development strategies/activities at local country level as well as working with the European marketing team and the worldwide BD's Medication Management Solutions ambulatory infusion team. A key component will be a country by country understanding of market trends, customer needs, clinical practice, purchasing process and competitive environment for home care therapies. Strategies and plans will then be defined on the basis of these insights regarding priority segments, value propositions, market shaping and commercial approaches. Similarly working closely with the Country Business Leaders to manage current distributor partners for the portfolio. This will involve making longer term recommendation of the go to market options and models.
The role will be focused on the development needs of the region to include but not limited to:
Build awareness and expertise in understanding the homecare landscape
Key stakeholders and influencers in the decision making process
Key Opinion Leaders
Purchasing process for homecare
Establish contacts with key home care providers and home care product distributors
Ability to develop unique offering for the BD infusion home care portfolio leveraging the full company portfolio where appropriate
Solution selling capability and understanding the whole end to end process
Understanding and ability to influence the development and implementation of pricing and required adjustments to ensure competitive advantage in the market
Map the landscape of key homecare providers and establish relationships
Drive and accelerate growth of the BD infusion portfolio
Required knowledge and experience:
Minimum +10 years of experience in an international environment with proven track record in strategic marketing within the homecare market
Business savvy with strong commercial mind-set
University degree and/or business administration
Experience in the medical device industry and consultancy background a plus
Experience in working in a multinational or international environment
Strategic agility, with conceptual thinking and analytical skills
Experience and/or capability to collaborate and influence other business leaders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate a complex, matrix organization
Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic
Demonstrated skills in attracting talent, leading and motivating teams - directly & indirectly
Fluent in English
Open for frequent travelling
