3M is seeking a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Business Development Manager focused on Naval Business. This role will be located in Washington, D.C. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Lead and manage business development activities for 3M Government Marketing – Sales within DOD and Navy. In collaboration with product divisions, drive identification and capture strategy of near term, mid- term, and long term programs to support accelerated growth
Build 3M divisional relationships with subject matter expert to maximize agency engagement
Deliver annual growth target
Build and develop broad, deep and strong relationships with DOD and Navy
Identify and communicate DOD and Naval trends.
Attend and participate in DOD and Naval advisory committees and tradeshows
Use government domain expertise and knowledge to increase customer awareness of 3M’s capabilities
Drive Division Partnership program to align high priority activities and drive US critical issue execution
Identify root-cause business development process defects and implement improvements
Collaborate with 3M Government Contract Compliance and Government Customer Service
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in government business development, marketing, program management and/or sales
Prior experience with any of NAVSEA’s five affiliated Program Executive Offices (PEO)
Successful experience managing in cross functional team environments
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience with 3M products and technologies
Location: Washington, D.C.
Travel: May include up to 25% domestic
Relocation: Is not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
