JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Sales and Marketing provides daily leadership and support to the General Managers and Sales Team to ensure sales and profitability goals are achieved. Create a sales plan for all markets and segments working with the sales teams to implement strategies to capture revenues for the entire portfolio of hotels. Works in conjunction with Hotel Leadership Team to accomplish the mission to exceed Property Owner, Associate and Guests expectations. Manages overall sales and marketing performance at the properties by analyzing and reconciling reports, industry trends, rates, market share and performance. Requirements include traveling to properties on a semi-annual or on an as needed basis to conduct site visits, training, sales calls and market analysis. Support hotel(s), conference facilities and restaurants sales and marketing plan and efforts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.Oversee the direct sales effort of each of the hotels ensuring monthly and annual revenue goals are achieved. Develop strategies and tactics to assist hotels to capture local corporate, transient and group business. Assist with local and regional sales tactics to achieve financial goals. Work with lead generation companies to uncover qualified leads in respective markets. Analyze reports and tools to monitor success and identify areas of further opportunity. 2.Implement and monitor overall sales vision and plan. Collaborate with VP, property DHO, General Managers and Sales teams. Compare actual operating results with budget projections and previous year s performance. Follow up on status of action plans as needed. Meet or exceed financial goals (i.e. production, revenue, occupancy, ADR, etc.). 3.Create and implement new sales efforts and marketing programs for Sand Hospitality. Review results of all programs and monitor sales efforts ensuring that monthly and annual goals are attained. Work with the Sales team and General Managers making sure all negotiated rates are reviewed annually based on production and property performance 4.Act as interim sales manager as needed at various properties. 5.Schedule semi-annual and as needed visits at the direction of the VP to hotel properties in order to maintain open communication, direction, sales calls and training with all sales teams and General Managers. 6.Look for opportunities to further market our brand through advertising programs, social media tradeshows and events to promote our properties. 7.Provide expertise in utilizing Brand loyalty and sales programs targeting corporate and third party booking segments. 8.Provides ongoing communication and updates with VP, Hotel Leadership Team, Sales team and General Managers. Demonstrate positive teamwork in order to accomplish all goals. 9.Assist with monitoring and submissions of RFP s. Help with completion of bids as necessary making sure that total revenue contribution is considered with the rates and room nights offered. 10.Work with Human Resources, DHO and General Manager to interview, select, and train all new sales team members. Provide leadership as needed, regularly assessing performance, onsite training and provide positive recognition and coaching/mentoring and counseling as necessary. 11.Actively participate in the planning of the annual GM and Sales Summit as well as the coordination of the Brand Annual Business Conference. 12.All other duties as assigned.
