The successful candidate manages public relations, advertising, marketing and communications strategies for NGMC Gainesville to achieve volume, revenue and market share goals. Oversees a team of specialists, coordinators and graphic designers to execute strategies and influence public awareness and opinion of NGMC Gainesville and Northeast Georgia Health System.
Education Bachelor's degree in a communication related field required.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of three years of management experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of Northeast Georgia and Atlanta market dynamics beneficial.

Media relations experience; crisis management experience also preferred.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Actively supports and achieves overall business objectives and vision of the organization through collaborative development and implementation of promotional strategies for NGMC Gainesville services, in conjunction with NGMC Gainesville leadership and physicians, coordinating closely with service line leaders and PR Account Specialists.
Develops and implements these promotional strategies from start to finish within defined budget.
Creative thinking and innovative brainstorming skills essential.
Serves as media spokesperson at NGMC Gainesville and may serve as chief information officer in the event of an internal or external disaster.
Coordinates internal communication at NGMC Gainesville in conjunction with Health System internal communication efforts. Develops and implements communication plans that support a culture of transparency and respect for internal and external audiences.
Represents NGMC Gainesville as needed in the community through presentations, health fairs, civic group meetings, etc.
Primarily responsible for oversight and protection of the NGMC Gainesville brand, in coordination with the Health System's brand standards. Oversees representation of NGMC Gainesville in all external communication mediums including advertising, print materials, website, online strategies, etc.
Aids PR and Marketing Director in oversight and protection of the NGHS brand and all of its affiliates, as well as the representation of NGHS and its affiliates in all external communication mediums including advertising, print materials, website, digital strategies, and signage, as well as internal organizational communication.
Manages daily operations of NGHS centralized PR and Marketing office and staff including account specialists, coordinators and graphic designers.
