You are a Global Recruitment Marketing & Technology Leader in Bangalore, India with a passion for the creation and management of global employment brands and the marketing and interactive deployment of organisations employment outreach efforts. You will provide thought leadership and insight for strategic, future-looking marketing activities while continuously assessing the effectiveness/ROI of current channels and tools through data collection and analysis. You will lead the continuous research, evaluation, and deployment of new recruitment technology and tools, while developing detailed annual plans to drive strategy and purchasing in the recruitment advertising, branding and technology functional areas.

Covance employment brand owner:

  • Creates compelling employment brand messaging and campaigns to be used throughout marketing and advertising activities such as print, interactive, social media and websites.

  • Creates branded tools (Word templates, handouts, flyers, etc.) for use by recruiting team.

Advertising & marketing:

  • Performs ongoing research and intelligence-gathering on upcoming trends, tools and recruitment marketing/outreach strategies to determine their applicability within Covance.

  • Evaluates new and emerging recruitment channels, and identifies the most relevant and impactful for Covance.

  • Conducts pilots and trial periods to assess effectiveness of channels, adjusting the marketing strategies based on ROI data and industry trends.

  • Manages and negotiates global recruitment marketing vendor purchases. Establishes and manages annual marketing and technology related budget.

Social Media:

  • Performs ongoing research and intelligence gathering on social media channels and trends.

  • Evaluates social media channels, weighing time, cost and risk, and identifies the most relevant and impactful for Covance. Manages pilots and trial. Performs data collection and assessment of ROI and impact.

  • Owner of Covance careers social media sites/channels. Management and/or deployment of Covance-enterprise social media communications.

  • Creates and manages social media SOPs and guidelines. Launches new social media channels to the RTS & RPO teams through guidelines, training sessions and leadership of sub-teams.

Technology:

  • Continuously evaluates new and emerging technologies, and their relevance to Covance. Leads and/or performs pilot testing, proof of concept and new technology implementation.

  • Oversees the administration and management of Covance’s global posting tool and SharePoint site.

  • Oversees the programming of RTS’ intranet site, including the Hiring Manager Resource Center.

  • Oversees Covance’s search engine optimization efforts through vendor management and recruiting team education and training.

  • Manages the identification, implementation and deployment of Covance’s recruitment technology channels such as mobile-texting, mobile apps, instant messaging, etc.

  • Ensures continuous ROI evaluation of new technologies/tools through data capture and analysis.

Cross-functional partnerships and synergies

  • Partners with Covance IT to define business and recruiting requirements, remove obstacles and deliver recruitment technology which enables Covance to be competitive and effective in the recruitment space.

  • Drives partnerships and synergies with Covance Marketing and Covance Volunteer Recruitment; resulting in the optimization of Covance’s company-wide marketing and advertising investment.

  • Partners with Corporate Communications to drive consistent and compelling employment brand messaging.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience is required, preferably in Recruiting Marketing, Recruiting or Human Resources.

  • 8-10 years in Marketing, Public Relations or HR; a minimum of 5 years in recruiting, with at least 2 years in a management capacity. Equivalent experience in an external advertising agency setting will also be considered. Global marketing experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in copy writing required. Global communications experience preferred.

  • Prior experience with the identification, evaluation and implementation of new recruiting technologies and marketing/advertising channels. Global experience preferred.

  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, particularly the ability to influence without direct authority and to senior levels.

  • Experience leading multi-functional project teams focused on innovation in marketing and technology is strongly preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-up skills.

  • Strong analytical skills; ability to utilize analytics to develop practical, creative, and leading problem-solving approaches and influence decision making.

  • Prior experience managing recruiting and/or departmental budgets which include allocations and billing required.

  • Resourceful, self-motivated and proactive.

  • Ability to deal with unusual or unexpected issues in an independent manner, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities according to business need.

  • Ability to work in a “virtual” setting. May be physically remote from recruiting team members, vendors and enterprise Covance employees.

  • Knowledge of recruitment practices, laws and regulations in geographic areas of operation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills in English.
