Position Details

The Marketing Specialist at ConMet is responsible for collaborating on the execution of our company’s overall marketing strategy by providing daily support to our corporate marketing management team and our various external/internal customers. The Marketing Specialist will have a unique opportunity to be a dynamic contributor in a wide variety of areas across the corporate marketing spectrum, including internal/external communications, branding, sales/marketing materials, internet/intranet, social media, SEO, trade shows, public relations, and more. Our ideal candidate will have the skills, creativity, and work ethic to allow them to advance into more senior roles within ConMet’s organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance specific ConMet marketing programs

  • Working with sales and marketing leadership to understand the needs of our customers in order to provide world-class marketing tools

  • Playing a significant role in managing and updating portions of the company’s internet/intranet presence

  • Assisting with the day-to-day tasks involving product and service promotions

  • Collaborating on the creation of various marketing documents (brochures, newsletters, etc.)

  • Assisting with the optimization and day-to-day management of ConMet’s online advertising efforts

  • Playing a major role in the development and day-to-day execution of ConMet’s social media strategy

  • Assisting company leadership and HR with public relations, community involvement and other related activities

  • Continually seeking out additional opportunities and new methods to advance the ConMet brand in the marketplace

  • Assisting with company innovation efforts both as an active participant and as a marketing resource


  • Bachelor’s degree required (Preference would be for degrees in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Writing, Public Relations or a closely related discipline)

  • Three or more years of Marketing experience required (ConMet Recruiter's note: This is an "Associate-level" role, so the complexity level of work in this job would typically be appropriate for someone in the 3-5 years of marketing experience zone.)

  • Corporate marketing experience in either consumer and/or industrial products (with skills in corporate marketing functions such as external/internal communications, marketing materials, social media, etc) highly preferred

  • Strong organizational skills required, with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

  • High level of written communication skills required

  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills required

  • Excellent computer/web skills required, including proficiency in MS Office; additional skills using web/marketing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Google Analytics, and MailChimp highly preferred

  • Ability to travel as needed (typically up to 15%)
