As a Marketing Solutions, Account Executive with our Online Sales Organization (OSO), you will be responsible for responding to highly signalled inbound inquiries as well as blanketing your region with outbound activity. You will strategically approach target companies and sell LinkedIn Marketing Solutions that help them achieve their marketing objectives. Although you strive to meet and exceed quota, you will always act in the best interest of the client, align with LinkedIn’s culture and values, and contribute to the lively dynamic of the team.
You will be confident on the phone, tenacious and highly organized. Ideally, you will be used to high volume, transactional sales and you will perform and adapt well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment. You will be able to effectively manage time, reach decision-makers and quickly determine opportunity potential.
Develop and execute a sales plan to ensure your quarterly target achievement
Prospect relentlessly to build pipeline and strong relationships with prospects including over the phone, creating tailored emails and employing social selling
Acquire new business by developing and presenting relevant solutions that help clients achieve their marketing objectives
Close new business consistently at or above quota expectations
Create reliable forecasts and be completely transparent with management on your pipeline status
Take ownership of your portfolio and proactively reach out to customers, deliver a customized solution and start generating your first deals
Set up your accounts, discover various business processes and understand relevant metrics
Define the best set of KPI’s and reports for the client to track and report your activity
Discover the competitive landscape and elaborate your elevator pitch
Navigate through various tools that enable you to build solutions and adapt them to fit into your “book of business”
2+ years sales experience
1+ year experience working with digital marketing products or media solutions
Experience of working in the Australian advertising and marketing industry
New client acquisition experience and familiarity with B2B business cycles
Has built relationships with top B2B marketing decision makers (C-suite to Digital Marketing Managers) and key media agency teams
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close high-level business using solution based selling
Experience of selling SaaS or marketing software
Experience in online or traditional media sales at a top publisher platform
Strong understanding and/or experience of the media agency landscape
Data driven storyteller - experience of leveraging data insights to engage clients
