Job Description The Shopper Marketing Team is well known for its fun, energizing culture and strong passion. This is a role that will challenge you to look at the big picture while working with a large cross functional group. The Primary Responsibility of this position is to provide process and analytic support to teams in order that they may be able to strengthen their relationships with their retailers and deliver key business results year over year.
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting the Shopper Marketing manager in the development and implementation of new processes to enhance the Shopper Marketing and Activation team. This job will work with agency excellence team and cross-functionally across The Total Store Leadership Team. The main responsibilities will focus on strategic process improvements across both shopper marketing and shopper activation and require an advanced computer skill set. Process improvements include, but not limited to: maintaining and updating shopper database, agency excellence and scorecard enhancement, maintain and update shopper marketing SharePoint toolkit for shopper marketing programs, look at strategic ways to advance the shopper business model, engage in insights to solutions working cross-functionally with shopper insights & advanced analytics team. Another key responsibility will be working with our Shopper Activation team to coordinate and ensure appropriate scheduling of demos at key accounts as well as providing additional analysis of events that will assist the Shopper Activation team in making informed decisions. Beyond key responsibilities, this position requires strong communication and influence skills from working cross-functionally with brands, business units, sales and retail customers. This position requires a solid project management skill set, along with multi-tasking and troubleshooting. The position will work with appropriate agencies and vendors to complete projects on-brand, on-time and on-budget.
Education: BS in marketing or other business related field preferred.
Experience: 2 years' experience in marketing, sales, market research and/or agency in Food or other Consumer Packaged Goods industry. A minimum of 1 year knowledge in shopper marketing preferred.
Computer Skills: Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office Excel to build complex Excel spreadsheets as analysis tools, budget, macros, mapping to multiple sheets and mapping to access database. Moderate to advanced skill set in PowerPoint. Proficient systems knowledge and experience with syndicated data (AC Nielsen / IRI / Spectra). Moderate experience in Microsoft Access Database would be a plus.
Communication Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Public speaking skills for presentations to senior management, peers, and customers. Collaboratively communicate daily with field sales, brand teams, business unit teams and retail execution team.
Travel: 3-5 trips annually
