McAfee is seeking a marketing leader who is a knowledgeable and passionate Consumer advocate and thought-leader. As member of the Consumer Product Marketing team, this individual will be the expert as part of a broader team focused on go-to-market strategies and comprehensive product launches.

She or he must have experience effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results and developing and executing against global launch plans that bring relevant products to market. This role requires a mature, experienced product marketing professional who is able to effectively communicate the benefits of a feature-rich solution to end users and channel partners. Excellent communication skills and comfort with ambiguity are a must. This is a full-time position based in either Santa Clara, CA or Plano, TX.

Primary responsibility is to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that generate revenue and acquire loyal customers for our security services through our direct and partner channels. Other responsibilities include competitive analysis, creating compelling value propositions, market evaluation, generating new product business cases and delivering sales enablement tools.

Assists in providing technical support for one or many product(s) and/or product family. Responsibilities include representing the product to customers and sales force, representing market's needs to engineering. Conducts competitive product/pricing analysis and market research, evaluates sales performance, and formulates and reviews strategic long range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product areas. Oversees development and production of marketing material, may be required to develop and present product training material. Responsible for creation and maintenance of product briefs and price books. Develops product specification and additional requirements. Advisor to the sales force and key resource in interacting with engineering, product management, and marketing groups. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Help drive revenue and influence roadmaps by working with Product Management, Engineering, User Experience, Sales, and Consumer Marketing to articulate and produce materials that represent McAfees product position and vision

  • Monitor relevant marketplaces and competitive products from a technical and business perspective, determine appropriate competitive positioning/differentiation, and deliver market-facing launch and ongoing product-support assets:

  • Data sheets

  • Competitive presentations

  • White papers—partner success stories

  • Web and app store content

  • Reviewer’s guides

  • Work with Partner Marketing and sales organizations to develop customized sales tools to support complex competitive partner sales cycles

  • Assists in the development and presentation of sales training for the McAfee sales force

  • Opportunity to work in the field with Sales and other event venues to present to key customers, press, and analysts

  • Measure and analyze all marketing programs and incorporate key learnings into future iterations to further drive growth and retention

  • Manage asset libraries—ensure sales tools are up-to-date across the available McAfee repositories

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE /SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of product marketing or product management experience in consumer technology products

Experience working across a range of marketing channels, including mobile, online and direct marketing, testing methods and delivering results

Superb hands-on analytical ability capabilities

Demonstrated ability to create programs that increase revenue and generate customer acquisition, conversion and retention

Experience with security software and/or online customer acquisition experience with a sales quota a plus

Excellent project management as well as interpersonal and organizational skills

Proven verbal, written and presentation communication skills

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
