Demonstrated clear, concise, courteous, and grammatically correct written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated advanced proofreading and editing skills

Demonstrated ability to facilitate a process from beginning to end

Strong organizational and tracking skills

Ability to develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records and files

Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining accurate web pages

Ability to understand and complete verbal and written instructions with attention to detail

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work independently with minimal supervision

Experience working with policies and procedures, operating guidelines, or rules and regulations

Advanced administrative and clerical support experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of and familiarity with university/academic policies and procedures

Experience working with high level administrators

Experience withSAPor other electronic accounting system

Experience or familiarity with strategic planning

Experience or familiarity with outcomes assessment

Job Description

Perform advanced administrative and clerical support for the Director and/or Associate Vice President to include university policy and procedure statement (UPPS) system, university strategic planning, and outcomes assessment

Job Duties

Compose, type, and proofread correspondence and reports. Record and prepare meeting minutes. Organize and prioritize workload. Maintain electronic calendar and appointments for Director and/or Associate Vice President. Maintain and monitor budget expenditures. Conduct research on best practices. Maintain and track files and corresponding due dates. Maintain and modify department Web pages. Perform routine clerical functions including purchasing, travel, telephones, and greeting internal and external visitors. Perform other duties as assigned.
