Then come join The Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology! We are looking for a hardworking and friendly Administrative Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as a first point-of-contact at front office desk creating an environment of hospitality and welcome for faculty, staff and students calling and coming to the office, including greeting and way-finding.

2. Provide administrative support with a variety of tasks including: Managing appointment calendar & scheduling meetings, drafting letters, data collection, preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes.

3. Plan, coordinate and facilitate special events including conferences, seminars and receptions.

4. Administer operations of department owned spaces including the Foods Lab and Nutrition Clinic.

5. Schedules, plans and coordinates work actions of office assistant support staff.

6. Collects, organizes and analyzes data for specialized reports.

7. Oversee academic coordination, including undergraduate and graduate processes.

8. Act as department social media and communications coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in business or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education) and three years full-time secretarial experience required. Demonstrated human relations and effective written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and direct supervisory experience preferred.
