Westech International, Inc. Administrative Assistants - WRPS Clerical Support in Richland, Washington

Position Overview

WESTECH is currently pursuing the Washington River Protection Solutions, LLC (WRPS) Clerical Support Staff Augmentation Support Contract. WRPS operates and manages the 200 Area Tank Farm facilities for the US DOE Office of River Protection (ORP). WESTECH intends to provide administrative support personnel to assist existing WRPS operations and project activities.

Candidates selected for all WESTECH positions must pass a background investigation, drug screen, employment and education verification.

Projected operation start date is November 2017.


In addition to secretarial duties (filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements), this position will provide administrative support to executive staff with office management responsibilities to include budgeting, personnel records and payroll. The Administrative Assistant may be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials.


Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organizations, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office. Computers use; requires working knowledge of office software programs.

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • 2+ years' experience supporting multiple leads and/or managers with clerical tasks and direction

  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of general office technologies

Preferred skills include:

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite 2010 - 2013, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint . Basic math, excellent English/grammar/punctuation, and well-organized, is desired . Experience supporting Executive Management and staff.

Prior Hanford Experience

Additional college courses/degree highly desirable.

Physical requirements:

  • Lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Sit for up to 3 hours at one time
  • Keyboarding for 2 hours.
  • Must be able to use both hands.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience supporting DOE programs, Washington River Protection Solutions and/or the Hanford site.

Additional college courses/degree highly desirable.

US Citizenship is required.
