Are you an experienced marketing professional working with Windows ecosystem partners to influence integrated co-marketing plans for driving demand for Windows based devices? Do you possess a passion for engaging in channel marketing projects that bring partners together for a common goal of amplifying the Windows story across OEM device to end users? If so, you’re the ideal candidate to become the Windows OEM Marketing Manager on the Worldwide Channel & Device Marketing team.

Worldwide Channel Marketing owns the end-to-end consumer purchase journey. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing the co-marketing execution guidance Microsoft provides OEM partners and partners with them on ensuring the Windows story is consistently landed within OEM/Windows end user facing marketing assets. You are responsible not just for the creation and project management of this execution guidance, but also the execution and OEM account team engagement associated with the channel marketing portions of the plan.

This role will need to have a strong understanding of OEM partner marketing capabilities as well as channel marketing strategies and tactics. Strong project management and relationship building skills are musts for this role to be successful. The ability to negotiate with partners and the field on co-marketing channel marketing opportunities is important. Also, the ability to partner with the teams responsible for measuring and monitoring the impact of the co-marketing investments to Windows core priorities and metrics will be required.

We are looking for a highly motivated team player who thrives in highly collaborative environments and possesses natural leadership abilities. This person will be passionate about the idea of developing world-wide guidance for creating co-marketing channel marketing programs in the field and consulting with the field on execution requirements in order to qualify for co-marketing investments. This role will oversee both commercial and consumer channels/opportunities and will have a vendor to support the implementation and proof of execution processes ensuring that the program meets the requirements outlined in the execution guidance.

Responsibilities:

1.Jumpstart Program design and program management (Strategy/Planning)

Develop and manage the creation and maintence of the OEM co-marketing execution guidance and ensure that it’s properly communicated to OEM partners and Microsoft field teams. (30%)

2.Partner Readiness/Alignment

Educate OEM partners and account teams on Jumpstart execution guidance and strategy and how to leverage Microsoft to help them meet their business objectives. (40%)

3.Operations and Performance

Align with the team responsible for measuring, monitoring, and analyzing the impact of Windows Jumpstart program effectiveness in the field based on clearly documented metrics. (10%)

4.Creative alignment across channel and brand marketing:

Work closely with the Windows commercial and consumer channel marketing SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) as well as the Windows brand team to ensure that Jumpstart execution guidance aligns to core Windows guidance and assets. (10%)

5.Execution Guidance cross-workstream management:

Collaborate with Product Marketing (Business Group) and Category Management teams along with Office/Surface channel marketing colleagues to develop and deliver worldwide execution guidance for the field with a “One Microsoft” approach. (10%)

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years’ experience in OEM co-marketing and channel marketing. Strong project and vendor management a critical asset to managing cross-functional inputs and deliverables. Experience in developing consumer and commercial assets is a bonus. To be effective in this role, you must be able to demonstrate success and aptitude in the following areas:
