The Red Hat Product Marketing team is looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering technical marketing assets that influence technical audiences toward the usage of Red Hat Satellite and Red Hat Insights for IT infrastructure optimization. You'll focus on blogs, videos, or demos that are viewed by prospective customers, and may also be required to help in more specialized efforts like helping close a specific customer. As a Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will have significant technical sales enablement responsibility, including developing technical training materials, demos, and sales tools that are used by solutions architects, consultants, and partner presales teams. You'll also help influence the direction of Red Hat Satellite and Red Hat Insights by internally communicating requirements and opportunities learned through customer interactions. This role can be based anywhere on the U.S. East Coast, preferably Westford, MA or Raleigh, NC.
Primary job responsibilities
Develop external content like demos, blogs, tweets, how-to videos, papers, articles, etc.
Create and deliver internal content like technical selling materials
Coordinate other resources across Red Hat to create and deliver content as needed
Deliver impactful presentations at key industry and Red Hat events to relevant audiences
Train solutions architects and other technical field associates, as well as partner technical personnel on Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Insights, and other associated management solutions
Perform competitive analysis of both commercial offerings and open source projects that compete against Red Hat Satellite and Red Hat Insights
Communicate requirements and product improvement opportunities to relevant stakeholders
8-10 years of software industry experience
Extensive technical background with expertise in the system management domain
Proven understanding of what it takes to motivate technical audiences and the ability to translate that understanding into impactful actions that convert prospect awareness and preference into revenue
Ability to create high-quality, compelling technical marketing content
Confident, with excellent presentation skills and the ability to excite technical audiences for cloud management and infrastructure product offerings
Track record of success in a fast moving, technical environment
