Summary of Responsibilities

The Senior Web Developer will

have ownership of elliemae.com and drive the strategic direction

of the site in line with corporate goals. This individual will

play a critical role in the growing online presence of Ellie Mae

and provides web leadership and support to the Sales and

Marketing teams.

Primary Responsibilities

& Objectives

  • Help lead the strategy for the

company’s web properties now and into the


  • Manage and drive the development

and implementation of site updates and additional


  • Assist in planning and building

new websites and microsites, and participate in selecting and

testing CMS platforms for future use

  • Troubleshoot and ensure quality

of site content, including copy, links, order flows,

registration flows and transaction logs, and debug issues that

arise with the performance of the website

  • Plan for future changes to the

website by staying current with web standards & best


  • Make requested content updates,

including content changes, press releases and blog


Basic Qualifications, Skills

and Education

  • BS in computer science or

equivalent work experience

  • Hands on coding: HTML5,

CSS/Sass, and JavaScript/jQuery

  • Solid 5+ years’ experience in web


  • Experience with building and

maintaining WordPress websites

  • Proficiency with at least one

scripting language such as PHP, Ruby

  • Basic knowledge of typography and

design, with the ability to create simple and usable interfaces,

adhere to a style guide, and extend existing design


  • Organized, self-motivated, and

works well with teams

Preferred Qualifications,

Skills and Education

  • Experience selecting &

building an extensible website from the ground


  • Experience with SalesForce,

Eloqua and Google Analytics

  • Experience working within a

marketing department
