The Senior Web Developer will have ownership of elliemae.com and drive the strategic direction of the site in line with corporate goals. This individual will play a critical role in the growing online presence of Ellie Mae and provides web leadership and support to the Sales and Marketing teams.
Primary Responsibilities & Objectives
Help lead the strategy for the company’s web properties now and into the future
Manage and drive the development and implementation of site updates and additional features
Assist in planning and building new websites and microsites, and participate in selecting and testing CMS platforms for future use
Troubleshoot and ensure quality of site content, including copy, links, order flows, registration flows and transaction logs, and debug issues that arise with the performance of the website
Plan for future changes to the website by staying current with web standards & best practices
Make requested content updates, including content changes, press releases and blog posts
Qualifications, Skills and Education requirements
BS in computer science or equivalent work experience
Solid 5+ years’ experience in web development
Experience with building and maintaining WordPress websites
Proficiency with at least one scripting language such as PHP, Ruby
Basic knowledge of typography and design, with the ability to create simple and usable interfaces, adhere to a style guide, and extend existing design concepts
Experience selecting & building an extensible website from the ground up a plus
Experience with SalesForce, Eloqua and Google Analytics a big plus
Organized, self-motivated, and works well with teams
Experience working within a marketing department a plus
