Staples Marketing Coordinator for Staples Promotional Products in Overland Park, Kansas
Purpose and Objective of Position:This position will primarily be responsible for developing, tracking and testing e-mail programs to ultimately increase our e-mail marketing success. In addition, this position will assist with set up and maintenance of Google Analytics for over 150 client websites and monthly client reporting.
Key Accountabilities: Email Responsibilities: * Create, duplicate, test, manage and analyze email programs written for our clients – includes both triggered and custom campaigns. * Work with Marketing Team to uncover new segmentations based upon user actions and company strategic goals. * Work to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing the productivity of our email sends. * Fine tune documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email. * Work as a liaison between marketing and creative teams to coordinate content. * Run day-to-day campaign deployment tasks including, but not limited to campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns. * Maintain a current understanding of email marketing best practices and drive continuous improvement * Set up and test promo codes * Keep documentation up to date Google Analytics Assistance: * * Assist in setting up Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Campaign Tracking on over 150 client websites, ensuring accuracy of tracking, and maintaining organizational structure of overall Google Analytics Account. Internal Marketing Communication Assistance:* * Assist with maintenance of internal marketing communication site by uploading content and analyzing analytics to increase audience engagement.
Qualifications, Skills and/or Competencies: * Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Current understanding of email marketing concepts, metrics, best practices and legal regulations. * Analytical and able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing, email optimization and reporting. * Past experience and proficiency with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, andweb analytics experience preferredbut not required * Ability to trouble-shoot technical issues related to HTML, list segmentation, formatting, and integrations. * Familiarity with email deliverability tools. * Excellent editing skills – including solid knowledge of grammar, punctuation, etc. * Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and tight timelines * Interest in the challenge and the responsibility that comes with the role * Ability to work independently while also contributing to department, company and client goals. * Experience in Google Analytics required,Google tag manager preferred * Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and analytical skills are required
