Telus Senior Market Manager – CRM Campaign Automation and Development in ON, Canada

Position Overview:

Brand & Customer Experience Marketing (B&E) is looking for an energetic and motivated Senior Market Manager to join the Campaign Automation & Governance team. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, you’ll join a dynamic and fast-paced team to help build a sustainable competitive advantage for TELUS and enable the company to deliver marketing campaigns across both lines of business faster and smarter.

The right candidate for this role is a strong senior marketing manager who can project manage, is highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and has demonstrated leadership skills. High-level knowledge of CRM platforms and the technical/creative landscape surrounding how to develop customer communications is preferred as this role will provide strategic guidance and support. Prior experience with marketing communications campaigns on client or agency side is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with HTML developer and other marketing stakeholders to lead and support the creation of base communications campaigns, minimizing time to market and maximizing business outcomes:

o Including template build, content development, data integration and segmentation, testing, final launch, etc

  • Responsible for being the Marketing lead/representative and collaborate with internal teams as a new company-wide enterprise communications platform solution is built, implemented and maintained

o Be a key project management lead for the launch and implementation of the marketing related platform and further future enhancements as required

  • Ideate and drive the implementation of integrated marketing communications strategies and processes to further create overall speed and business efficiencies

  • Partner with outside vendors on processes to develop/deploy communications, and regarding technology platform implementation and maintenance

  • Identify cost and production efficiencies, and work with Governance Project Manager to modify and improve existing processes/protocols to support evolving business changes and requirements

  • Collaborate with stakeholder teams to provide recommendations on how enhance and improve marketing campaigns, driving both medium performance and customer engagement

  • Be a strategic thought leader and have an interest regarding marketing automation and communication design systems and tools

  • Keep up to date regarding CRM and automation best practices

  • Support other marketing automation tasks and projects as required and requested

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to understand and articulate Marketing business requirements and strategy

  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to clearly generate insights and actions

  • Very strong project management skills

  • Understanding and knowledge of CASL/CANSPAM regulations an asset

  • Knowledge of CRM best practices

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work activities and meet aggressive deadlines

  • Experience establishing and maintaining cross functional relationships

  • Takes ownership, initiative, shows sense of urgency and is self-directed

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage processes

  • Creativity and problem solving ability to overcome unexpected obstacles

  • Passion for excellence, strong work ethic and solutions-oriented

  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Google for Work an asset

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and lead peers through processes and meetings

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in CRM, marketing, project or account management necessary

  • Telecom industry experience considered an asset

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Minimum requirement is a University Degree preferable in Business/Marketing
