*Duties and Responsibilities*
Provide administrative assistance and organization to the Technology Ventures department and maintain a professional office environment. Perform general to complex clerical support tasks including but not limited to: answering multi-line telephone, routing and returning voice messages, greeting visitors, managing calendars, monitoring and notifying team of various deadlines, sorting and distributing mail, ordering and stocking supplies, filing and maintaining confidential records, assisting in drafting or editing letters and presentations, arranging travel accommodations and reimbursements, helping coordinate special events, acting as the department liaison with internal departments and external vendors, and other duties assigned as assigned.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and 3 year's relevant experience or combination of education and experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Successful applicants must show strong initiative, be able to prioritize, display high attention to detail, and be extremely flexible/adaptable. Must be professional, organized, deadline driven, efficient and able to produce high quality work while handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have excellent oral and written communication and computer skills. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse group of people, personalities and cultures is crucial.
Prefer an Associate's Degree. Previous experience in a Technology Transfer/Intellectual Property office, non-profit biomedical research and/or university setting preferred. .
Typically Monday through Friday, 10am-3:00pm, however hours may vary depending on workload and need for office coverage.
Regularly required to sit, use manual dexterity, talk and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Noise level is usually quiet.
