The Senior Partner Marketing Manager is a mid-level role in the Marketing Leadership job family. Their primary goal is to market the Dimension Data products and services to the right market for one or more Business Units, operating in medium complexity environments.

What you'll be doing

Develop marketing strategy

The individual in this position works closely with the Marketing Leadership organisation to contribute to the development of a comprehensive marketing strategy that will meet the strategic objectives as outlined in the regional organisational strategy. They work closely with the relevant internal teams and contribute to the development of a pricing strategy in relation to the Business Units. They ensure that all marketing initiatives in relation to the strategy are executed.

Develop marketing plan

The Senior Partner Marketing Manager contributes to the development of an annual marketing plan that details the marketing, promotional and advertising activities for the fiscal year. This plan focuses on the marketing strategic objectives and strikes a balance between mass and micro-market lead generation activity. They manage, co-ordinate and monitor the implementation of this marketing plan and related projects with a focus on new and existing products and services.

Develop go-to-market plan

The Senior Partner Marketing Manager contributes to the development and implementation of go-to-market plans that will be used to target existing and potential markets and clients. They use their good collaboration skills to work with a variety of internal stakeholders and ensure the implementation of these plans.

Manage marketing collateral

The Senior Partner Marketing Manager ensures the co-ordination, management and monitoring of all aspects of print, receipts and distribution. They ensure that frequent, timely and positive media coverage is achieved across relevant media for product and service lines. They contribute to the development of marketing collateral for bids and proposals.

Conduct market research

Senior Partner Marketing Managers are responsible for conducting market research on target markets, competitors and existing and potential clients. They use the information that they have gathered from their research to inform their marketing activities, develop marketing models and to identify the market requirements for current and future products and services. These individuals may be required to analyse potential strategic partner relationships for all Business Units. They ensure that their findings are reported and discussed at the relevant internal forums.

Budget management

The Senior Partner Marketing Manager assists with the development and management of a marketing budget and ensures that all marketing initiatives are delivered within the budget.

Behavioural skills

The Senior Partner Marketing Manager displays excellent interpersonal skills and has the ability to interact with a variety of internal teams at different levels in the organisation. They display the high levels of integrity and are able to maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They are innovative and persuasive, driving implementation and focusing on delivery to clients whilst maintaining effective working relationships within the team.

This role serves as the primary marketing interface with Cisco by acting as the Dimension Data/Cisco advocate and marketing subject matter expert . It interfaces and works through a variety of roles within the Group and regional organisations, including Marketing, Sales, Alliances and Business Units, and requires a maturity, education and experience level to match.

Cisco is our longest standing partner (25 years+), and accounts for a substantial portion of Dimension Data’s current revenue.
