The Capital Markets Origination (CMO) group works with our corporate and government clients to develop, structure, and implement financing packages to meet their capital needs and corporate finance objectives This includes structuring and distributing issuances of equity, debt and hybrid capital products as well as syndicated/leveraged/ acquisition loans and asset-backed/securitized products

  • As part of CMO, Debt Capital Markets (DCM) is linked to both the short-term dynamics of the market and the long-term strategic vision of corporate and investment banking Our work involves daily interaction with bankers and salespeople, and a high level of contact with our clients – to whom we often talk frequently about the markets and continually look for financing solutions for them

Job Description

  • Position Title: Vice-President, Debt Capital Markets

Role and Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Originate’ debt financing transactions across the DCM product spectrum Strong focus on our Target Client Set and other Opportunistic Clients

  • Maintain ongoing client relationship for the DCM product, particularly with regular issuers

  • Special focus on High Yield Issuers in the G3 market and Structured Transactions in the INR bond market

  • Advise clients and coverage bankers on fixed income offerings basis a deep understanding of the global financial markets, and fundamentals of loan and bond instruments

  • Communicate effectively with other groups throughout the firm in order to develop client deliverables

  • Work closely with syndicate desk on the development of marketing strategies through analysis of investor feedback and market conditions

  • Execution of transactions originated by the desk

  • Control deal process, work directly with clients, other investment banks, external legal counsel and auditors

  • Compile, analyze and assimilate financial information

Education (Required)

  • M.B.A. or C.A. or C.F.A


  • Good interest and knowledge of finance and markets; healthy familiarity of international bond markets

  • An understanding of bond math’s and derivatives

  • Strong Excel and Financial modeling skills, including high degree of power point competency

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of market information and insights to end clients

  • Confident in ability to pitch business to clients

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills (Logic)

  • Adaptability in a dynamic work environment

  • Proficient communication skills

  • Competent Bloomberg, Power Point and Excel skills

  • Robust Knowledge in Finance & Accounting

  • Attention to detail
