The Market Manager is accountable for the overall management and profitability of branches within a designated market through proactive customer relationship building activities, community leadership, staff development, and customer retention. Partners with other business lines in the organization to support customer relationship growth.
Develops and implements tailored sales and customer experience strategies for their assigned branches. Ensures successful execution of these strategies, including continuous monitoring of local competitive and business environments. Proactively identifies and develops business opportunities.
Manages market with the ultimate goal of increased revenue and profitability. Leads and models the Driving the Customer Experience process to create profitable relationship growth. Determines and communicates performance expectations and accountabilities for business market employees.
Champions and models behaviors to foster customer relationship growth, employee teamwork and community involvement to support the organization’s goals.
Utilizes available tools to retain and enhance existing business customers, and pro-actively seeks new business relationships. Works with other internal business partners to refer and grow business relationships.
Provides growth opportunities for all employees to develop and maintain their skills at the highest levels. Retains employees by fostering a climate of mentoring, leadership and empowerment. Recognizes and rewards outstanding performers within the market.
Ensures delivery of the ultimate customer experience by role modeling the utilization of branch technology including tablets, enhanced ATMs and other systems effectively, and engage and educate customers in using them. Responsible for service levels, product awareness and referral activity generated by branches.
Responsible for hiring, performance coaching plans, progressive discipline, reviews, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations of their direct reports.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
Proven leadership; ability to lead and motivate management and branch teams to support corporate goals and objectives by informing, educating and influencing teams. Talent for thinking strategically and acting as a facilitator when necessary.
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills are necessary to effectively convey goals and initiatives to staff and management; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong partnerships at all levels within the bank and communities within growth market.
Expertise in financial services and products.
Outstanding project management and research skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion.
Based on a wide range of information and perspective, incumbent must be able to identify and solve problems using refined creativity, negotiation and problem solving skills. Outstanding analytical skills are necessary to determine areas in need of improvement and the ability to find innovative solutions.
Advanced knowledge of PC, including internet and internal bank software. Utilizes advanced branch technology and systems including tablets, enhanced ATMs and other systems effectively, and engage and educate customers in using them.
NMLS, Series 6/63, State Life Insurance license, BOCL, mortgage certification, and consumer lending certification are preferred. Must be willing to obtain these licenses within one year of hire date.
College degree or equivalent work experience required.
5-7 years relevant work experience.
