POSITION SUMMARY: Manages departmental payroll, interprets policies and provides administrative support for the Directors, Managers, and other personnel as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:1. High School diploma or equivalent.EXPERIENCE:1.Two years additional training or related experience. One year of secretarial training may substitute for experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:EXPERIENCE:1.Able to type 40 wpm preferred. Other duties may be assigned.1.Manages departmental payroll and personnel records to ensure accuracy of data. Compiles daily data from assignment sheets into electronic scheduling and payroll system. Audits payroll reports for accuracy. Resolves payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.2.Enters staff schedules into electronic scheduling system. Monitors and records employee FMLA/STD/MLOA/PLOA & Military usage and generates reports upon request.3.Distributes paychecks according to departmental and institutional guidelines. Processes and maintains personnel records which accurately reflect personnel activity, current status, and historical profiles.4.Maintains current employee information in appropriate databases (i.e. education, turnover, certification, and licensure).5.Completes administrative responsibilities for directors, managers and other personnel.6.Using independent judgment prioritizes appropriately to ensure efficient utilization of time. Reconciles conflicting assignments and justifies decisions.7.Screens and refers incoming phone calls and staff to ensure that accurate and timely communications are facilitated and that Nursing Services is represented in a positive manner.8.Schedules meetings, maintains appointment calendars by documenting accurate times and contacting appropriate individuals.9.Manages and distributes incoming mail in a timely manner and coordinates all outgoing mail.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.For more details go to URL
