Job Description

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc., is looking to hire an ambitious, enthusiastic and professional Administrative Assistant II to provide support to the Distribution Center leadership team as well as assist with ad hoc support for the department.

 

The ideal candidate issomeone who is self-directed, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and will thrive on working in a collaborative environment with a group of Distribution professionals.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to the DC Leadership team including calendar management, meeting set-up, preparing meeting agendas, determining and shifting priorities, resolving scheduling conflicts, reserving conference rooms, and responsible for logistics and catering for a variety of meetings

  • Perform routine administrative tasks including phone coverage, electronic filing, photocopying, meeting and checking in visitors

  • Prepare and distribute routine correspondence

  • Design, format and update presentations as needed (not routine)

  • Support department wide meetings and special events including catering, technical equipment set up, awards and recognition, etc.

  • Coordinate and assist with scheduling interviews including greeting potential candidates, creating interview agendas, reserving conference rooms, and helping with new hire paperwork.

  • Manage DC office space including: ordering & distributing supplies, clean & maintain mobile workstations, update & post seating chart, digital sign content as needed, report safety concerns, order and setup new furniture, and other tasks as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Associates Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of related administrative or office experience
