As Market Development Manager Hernia Care (m/f) you will serve as both the voice of your market in the European organization, as well as the primary point of contact for your region. You will play a key role in making the regional strategies a success, by creating a tailored approach that reflects the dynamics of your region, while maintaining budgetary stewardship and a close eye on profitability.

Responsibilities of the Market DevelopmentManager (m/f):

•Grow develop Hernia Care business in DACH

oSupport difficult cases with surgeons, lead scientific discussions, support and create support structure for reimbursement issues

oIdentify, manage and execute projects in the field of open to MIS hernia cases, ventral hernia surgery and biologic implants

oAttendance organization of speakers and symposia throughout DACH representing Hernia Care, including the co-ordination and delivery of relevant marketing materials

oIdentification of new peer reviewed publications. Provision of clinical summaries and internal training for DACH sales force for relevant new publications

oDevelop implement practical solutions for reimbursement challenges for biologic implants in the DACH region in cooperation with the HCE organization

•Business Development

oLead with new clinical selling activities within the region. Coordinate with other internal groups.

oIdentify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned

oClosely cooperate support Sales reps Sales Managers to achieve Hernia Care business goals in DACH

•Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the contacts to be made

•Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity

•Working in the theatre environment converting surgeons, theatre personnel and the EBME Department

•Interact with purchasing managers / hospital administrators to set up and negotiate broader sales contracts

•Coordination and internal promotion of marketing activities such as launch of products, services or campaigns (e.g. training sales team, country product launch checklist, etc)

•Evaluate and act on opportunities and threats associated with the competitive landscape and key trends in your country and provide feedback to the European organization

•Develop implement a tactical marketing plan designed to maximize revenue performance that reflects both the European strategy and local market dynamics

•Localize marketing content provided by European Marketing including translations, while meeting the requirements of Medtronic standard operating procedures

Minimum requirements:

•BS/BA degree in Marketing, Healthcare, Finance or Economics or similar education

•Profound experience within sales and/or marketing - within the medical device industry and with product of high need of explanation for with hospital business

•Being used to work and cooperate with KOL´s

•Experience in product launches

•Know-how in process and/or project management

•Feel comfortable with ICT tools (PowerPoint, Excel, ERP, Salesforce.com, etc.)

•Fluent in German and English is mandatory

Preferred requirements:

•Experience with hernia care or alternatively surgical products would be a strong plus

•Already responsible for more than one country

•Additional European language skills like French or Italian

•Already used to work within matrix structures

Other skills:

•Highly motivated, dynamic and goal-oriented, being a self-starter with strong time management and planning skills, having demonstrated success in working independently and to set priorities to meet deadlines

•Excellent presentation as well as written and spoken communication skills, a persuasive individual who makes things happen

•Analytical and numeracy skills

•Ability to teach and train (adult learning knowledge)

•Able to work in cross boarder teams and matrix structure
