YMCA of Greater Kansas City Marketing and Communications Assistant - Temporary in Kansas City, Missouri
The Marketing and Communication Assistant will be instrumental in providing support that assists in driving the execution of marketing and communications initiatives. This position is temporary.
Actively work with the Marketing and Communications team to meet team deadlines.
Update KansasCityYMCA.org and related websites with current, accurate information for prospect, member and program participants. Experience with Drupal preferred.
Write and coordinate delivery to multiple audiences via email and texting. Y systems include TextCaster and Drupal (website). Data entry in systems including Drupal and TextCaster.
Write and coordinate social media posts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
Using creative software, update forms and create simple marketing material.
Help proof written and creative projects.
Assist with special events preparation including tracking and following up on RSVPs, help gather material needed and set-up.
Assist with invoice and expense process.
Travel as needed to assigned locations across the association.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related area from an accredited college or university or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
Able to make independent and sound decisions in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
Detail oriented with good organizational skills, and be multi-task proficient.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat preferred, or willingness to be trained to assist with updates/edits to marketing materials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency in Spanish preferred.

Position Hours: Temporary position working part time up to 28 hours
