Purpose of Role
- To create a step change in the effectiveness and efficiency of our media and digital execution
Create and execute the key digital and media plans for SA and ARM markets in service of the brand and business goals set out in the annual Game Plan
Working with the brand marketing teams to define the appropriate goals, budgets and strategies to deliver the overall brand objectives
Work with key agency partners to execute the most efficient and effective plans, to deliver these objectives
Manage the agency base to ensure that we have the right agencies and people within the agencies to effectively deliver our business plans
To lead SA and ARM’s thinking over the media and digital landscape, using innovative and creative approaches to drive Top of Mind Awareness ahead of our competitors
Working with internal experts, agency and industry specialists to establish new and different ways of working.
To challenge standard practice and bring us to a best in class standard in both the digital and media space, amongst comparable consumer goods business
To support the launch of critical innovation brands
Coordinate Media Initiatives across the region
Provide training and support on digital and media for the whole organisation
To develop from base level, three junior Digital and Media managers
To educate and develop the 5 marketing directors
Work with GBT and Global Innovation team on developing key initiatives in the region
Consolidate reporting on key initiatives and performance intervene where required
Search and Spin initiatives across the region
Rapid development of functional and leadership capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience Required
10 years + experience in marketing and media/digital planning.
Experience working in both agency and client companies would be a significant advantage.
