The PD will be responsible for the overall consumer strategy and tactics for the launch of a new prostate cancer therapy. The compound is in late stage clinical development with multiple potential indications for various stages of prostate cancer, and is expected to be adopted by both Urologists and Oncologists. The PD will report to the Group Product Director, Prostate.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Driving core components of the Consumer Marketing strategy and tactical plan.
Lead development of core components of consumer/ patient strategy
Partner with market research and analytics team to establish deep consumer insights and utilize them to guide the development of overall consumer positioning and strategy.
Partner with agencies to integrate and execute media strategies targeted at consumers.
Partner with others across prostate team to ensure integration with other parts of the patient experience as well as synergies with HCP strategy.
Leading development of consumer messaging and communication tactics. Analyzing key market and performance indicators, and adjusts the overall plan accordingly, in an effort to maximize its effectiveness. Tracking competitive activities and develop strategies to address competitive threats.
Working productively with external agencies and key internal cross functional groups within the organization (Advocacy, IT, Legal, Market Access, Market Research, Medical Affairs, Procurement, Public Relations, Regulatory, and Sales).
Lead the day-to-day agency relationship and will partner with legal, medical, regulatory and compliance to obtain approval of marketing materials.
Along with colleagues across the organization, ensure compliant execution and delivery of forecast goals and business objectives for the prostate franchise upon product approval and launch.
B.A./B.S. required; MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred.
7 years of business experience required; minimum of 3 years of healthcare marketing experience is required.
Demonstrated success in Consumer Marketing (OTC in consumer packaged goods or DTC in pharmaceuticals) is strongly preferred.
Must have a demonstrated track record of applying marketing competencies, and also experience directing and managing advertising agencies.
Strong sense of urgency and big picture orientation with attention to detail.
Leadership, business results, innovation, proactivity, and strong analytical skills with excellent overall business acumen Strong cross-functional teamwork, collaboration, proactivity, and communication skills required.
Ability to influence large/diverse teams without direct authority is required.
Demonstrated success partnering with sales leadership and sales learning is required.
This position is located in Horsham, PA and requires up to 25% travel.
