Departmental Overview

SMEi is a specialist broking unite within the Marsh Direct & Partnership practice, providing commercial insurance to small and medium sized businesses, with insurance policies provided by some of the best known insurers around.

SMEi’s current business and marketing strategy is a niche focus, targeting sectors such as hospitality (food and drink, pubs, hotels), retail/shop, and hair and beauty. Marketing is thus aligned to these specific sectors.

Position Overview

As a Marketing Executive you will provide tactical marketing support to the SME business unit, including digital and direct marketing campaigns, publicising events and promotions. You will be involved in developing and managing marketing (both online and offline) for SMEi as well as managing key marketing campaigns and initiatives.

The Marketing Executive will also support the Affinity Marketing Business Partner for the wider Direct & Partnership practice and will directly report in to the Director of Marketing for D&P.

Key Responsibilities

Provide marketing support and delivery to the SMEi business

Efficient and effective design, production and management of internal and external marketing including; digital (email, web, and social media), campaigns (email/direct mail/SMS), presentations, advertising, events, sponsorship activities, PR, posters and other visual aids.

Development and management of internal communications and marketing collateral

Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders within the SMEi business and suppliers

Support the development and management of customer strategy and proposition

Identify opportunities to align our marketing activity with other parts of Jelf and Marsh UK

Assist in the marketing planning and budget process for SMEi Skills & Attributes

Proven experience of working within a B2B and/or B2C marketing role, including digital marketing, is essential Recognised marketing qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing or similar is advantageous

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Previous experience of using design software, In-Design and/or Photoshop or similar, will be beneficial

Proficient user of Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
