The Team: This is an opportunity to join a dynamic sales team within Platts that focuses on expanding our energy analytics business. Our portfolio of products is constantly evolving, so we are looking for someone who can learn new markets and products quickly. This is a fast-paced and progressive team, and we are looking for a self-driven individual who can be successful in growing our energy business in the U.S. Southern region.
The Impact:The Account Executive is responsible for finding new client accounts and growing and nurturing existing customers within a North American territory through. The individual will be collaborating with Platts Business Development Managers in a subject matter expert capacity. This role will also be responsible for providing product feedback to the Bentek analytical team.

Extensive Customer facing activity including prospecting new clients, ongoing development of existing accounts and driving new product sales.
Understand in depth set territory, customer accounts and bank of business; develop and implement comprehensive customer centric account strategy and territory plan.
Develop and build meaningful relationships with key and influential contacts;
Collaborate with other sales and sales support functions to help ensure service levels and value-add needs are met
Manage renewals and strengthen relationships within existing accounts. Service customers and prospects with quotes, demos and sample products. Prospecting new business and manage incoming leads. Maintain a high lead to sales close conversion rate.
Maintain Salesforce activity log; Provide monthly reports to management; Produce an accurate monthly forecast; Build strong profiles for top 10 clients.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a B2B sales corporate environment
Excellent organization and communication skills both written and verbal; Must utilize strong phone, interpersonal and sales prospecting skills. Adds value to the customer relationship by distilling, summarizing, interpreting and communicating information to facilitate its usefulness.
Strong time management, multi-tasking and organization skills.
Strong business and professional acumen.
Superior customer relationship management skills.
Consultative/Solution sales and strong negotiation skills
Highly proficient in excel (pivot tables and charts) and using CRM systems
Ability to travel up to 40%
Strong analytical skills
5 years’ experience in downstream oil, gas, or power industry
2 years’ experience in energy commodity analytics
