The Market Development Representative is responsible for prospecting,qualifying and generating new sales leads to support Sales. This individualwill be a highly motivated, self-starter with strong sales dynamic, ableto identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources,including inbound marketing leads and prospect lists. In addition, thisposition provides a development opportunity for a successful MDR with theaspiration to move into a sales position within SANBORN.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES: Initiate outbound prospecting, qualifying, and contact verification forSANBORN products and services Develop new business via telephone, customer visit, trade shows tointroduce SANBORN services to new and existing customers Submits qualified leads in Sugar (CRM) and transfers them to the SalesTeam when appropriate Identify appropriate buyers within the target market Provide feedback to help identify prospects pain points to helpdetermine how the SANBORN solution will speak to those needs Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications andfollow-up communications Work as part of market driven team to develop and grow the sales pipeline Consistently attain and exceed monthly MDR quotas Follow the Sanborn a customer-centric approach that differentiates Sanbornfrom competitors who do not offer the same experience. Sanborn creates apositive consumer experience at the point of sale and post-sale. Utilize Sugar (CRM) for contact management, opportunity tracking,and sales pipeline management. Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION:High School diploma. Preferred Bachelor s degree or higher from anaccredited college or university or equivalent experience.EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of successful sales and marketing experience. Technology products and or remote sensing experience are a plus. Experience using Sugar or Salesforce or similar CRM product preferred. Proficiency with MS Office suite and other software applications.QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to set and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced workenvironment. Strong project management/organizational skills and exceptional attentionto detail. Ability to build team unity, working with cross-functional and diversegroups. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills both over the phone and potentially onsite attradeshows. Ability to write reports, read business correspondence, and updatedocumentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions fromgroups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
