Easter Seals-Goodwill provides quality in-home personal care services in Great Falls and Butte, Montana, as well as in rural communities in Glacier, Toole, Pondera, Teton and Lewis & Clark Counties. Home care services are available during daytime, evening and weekend hours and are covered by private fees, insurance or Medicaid.

Our goal is offer support to help elderly individuals, people with disabilities, individuals recovering from surgery, illness or injury, or people in transition from nursing homes, to live independently in their own homes.

Position Summary:

Works with Personal Care Coordinator and Administrative Assistant/Scheduler I in implementing home care attendant services to meet the needs of clients in their home. Will be responsible for monitoring the need for PCA’s and scheduling personal care attendants in client homes. Will be required to compile attendant hours for payroll. Provide frontline telephone service for the office. Reviews all processes on a yearly basis to assure those processes are current and within or exceeding guidelines.

  • Notifies clients when there is a change in the attendant schedule or if attendant services are not available.

  • Assists with taking incoming new client referrals in absence of personal care staff including but not limited to name, address, phone number and brief description of client needs.

  • Assists to facilitate a consumer satisfaction survey to assist in statistics and to insure quality services.

  • Assists with P.R. of Personal Care Program.

  • Responsible for mailing sympathy cards to families of deceased clients.

  • Responsible for mailing get well cards to clients.

  • Ability to implement and use computer software accurately and efficiently.

  • Creates, monitors, objectively follows effective systems

  • Maintains updated and ongoing home care attendants schedules including name of client, attendant hours and days of service.

  • Works with attendants to ensure maximum coordination of services.

  • Maintains electronic and paper filing for all client and Personal Care Attendant files.

  • Serves as a liaison between the attendant and Personal Care Administrative Assistant/Scheduler I and/or Personal Care Coordinator.

  • Reports any attendant concerns or questions. Keeping all office staff informed of problems or issues.

  • Acts as a resource for information, guidance and tools.

  • Schedules attendants in homes in accordance with authorized hours and designated times listed on the Personal Care Attendant Assignment Sheet, HCBS Referral Form or State profile.

  • Compiles PCA’s payroll and client’s billing sheets for all programs on a bi-weekly basis.

  • Keeps track of overtime, show-up time, missed client hours, and reports to Personal Care Coordinator any issues.

  • Monitors PCA attendance (no-show, call in, tardiness) follow up w/PCA’s as indicated.

  • Works with Personal Care Administrative Assistant Scheduler I and/or Coordinator to ensure completion of new hire process.

  • Reviews all processes such as billing, chart forms, office functioning, etc., with

  • appropriate staff to assure those processes are current while making improvements where possible.

  • Ensures that staff receives client specific training and all documentation training.

  • Assists with admit/discharge paperwork (compile/dissemble charts, phone call book, Medicaid check book etc.)

  • Schedule and conduct PCA evaluations at 6 months and yearly.

Required Skills

  • Communicates effectively both written & orally with other co-workers and clients.

  • Must be self-motivated, organized and flexible.

  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have basic knowledge and competency in math skills.

  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.

  • Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.

  • Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.

Required Experience

  • 0-2 years experience

  • Prior scheduling experience helpful, but not necessary

  • High School/Equivalent

  • Applicant must pass a background check
