The Department of Finance & Marketing is searching for a tenure track assistant/associate professor to start August, 2018. California State University, Chico is seeking faculty who are competent in their field, collaborative with colleagues and staff, and committed to student success. Position is contingent on funding
Minimum Education and Experience
The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a Ph.D. in Marketing or related areas. Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate may be considered; however, the doctorate must be complete prior to the beginning of the 2018 academic year (August, 2018). Candidates must demonstrate potential for, or evidence of, effective teaching at the university level. Candidates must also demonstrate a potential for, or evidence of, research and publication in refereed journals relevant to the Marketing area.
Additional Requirements and Responsibilities for this position
This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching (a typical teaching load is three courses per semester), scholarship and service. The ideal candidate is one who can balance excellent teaching with research productivity and contributions to service. Specific teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to and/or experience promoting and fostering a learning environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited University is desirable. In addition, relevant business experience is preferred. The department is especially interested in candidates with teaching skills and research interests in Strategic Marketing Management, Sales Management, Marketing Research, and/or Survey of Marketing.
