DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and supporting digital marketing activities. An ideal Digital Marketing Specialist candidate should be a data-driven digital and inbound marketer and capable of owning the majority of the inbound marketing duties. You will be in charge of attracting site traffic, converting that traffic into new leads for the business, and nurturing those leads to close into customers, the latter of which sales leadership will help you accomplish. You will get to work side-by-side with senior leadership to build scalable business processes and a foundation for both internal and external growth. This position will report to the Director of Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES (90% of the time)

  • Work with the Director of Marketing to develop editorial strategy and publishing schedules
  • Execute on the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with product development, sales activities and priorities
  • Implement informational campaigns
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity through social media – maintain the corporate voice throughout media
  • Research and share trending information relative to overall marketing strategy
  • Create a wide range of different marketing materials to include video scripts, blogs, eBooks, Webinars and live events
  • Write website copy, create infographics, case studies for the company
  • Track and qualify MQLs to SQLs and work with AMs and Sales Overlays to ensure success from leads
  • Leverage marketing intelligence to identify target audiences
  • Manage and tracking marketing development and ad hoc vendor partner funding relative to social / digital marketing engagement
  • Report weekly/monthly metrics to Director of Marketing. Track campaigns and prepare post-campaign performance reports
  • Participate in planning and administration of key product and program initiatives as part of the sales and marketing strategy
  • Quantifies business intelligence with economic models to evaluate new opportunities; presents findings clearly and makes recommendations for action
  • Identify “think outside the box” opportunities for campaigns and events that will lead to an increase in revenue
  • Seeks out new market insights and business opportunities through research and analysis90%

  • Assist with Field Marketing activities as needed, including driving attendance to events via social media, managing field marketing / email campaigns / tracking
  • Assist with Event management
  • Assist with submitting activities and claims for vendor partner marketing development funds

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • 3 - 5 years of software Marketing experience or relevant industry knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience that will enable the candidate to complete the tasks
  • Desire to analyze and understand numeric results in order to align marketing and sales strategies with goals and targets
  • Basic project management skills
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative suite
  • Proficient with PPC (Pay per click) advertising
  • Valid driver’s license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Technology experience and background a plus
  • Experience in B2B marketing
  • Excellent sales and communication skills
  • Successful track record with inbound/digital marketing
  • Competency with marketing automation and marketing intel tools
  • Proficient with PPC (Pay per click) advertising
  • Experienced with web development / HTML editors
