Ocean Edge Resort Limited Partnership Human Resources Administrative Assistant in Brewster, Massachusetts

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assists HR department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees and applicants. 2. Assists in administration of HR processes by other departments, ie: monitors compliance of performance appraisal process and keeps HR Director abreast of needs. 3. Prepares materials for on-boarding of new hires/re-hires both exempt and non-exempt: prepares new hire and rehire packets; confirms receipt of Personnel Action Forms for drug testing and background checks; follows-up on creation and delivery of time cards. 4. Manages new hire processes: administers pre-employment tests and checks; notifies department of results; distributes and collects new hire paperwork; schedules new hire for orientation; delivers essential material to payroll. 5. Prepares annual reports including: EEO -1, OSHA and others; maintains records, reports, and logs pertaining to applicant/employee flow procedures. 6. Assists in organizational training and development efforts as needed. 7. Maintains Human Resource records and compiles reports as needed. 8. Participates in HR staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as required. 9. Helps to maintain detailed, company-wide organization charts for the HR department. 10. Supports the Director and department as needed, performing other related duties as required and assigned. Requirements KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources. Highly organized; ability to multi task and prioritize desk is essential. This position requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
