Job Title: Membership and Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary: The Membership and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for identifying and enrolling new Club Members and establishing relationships with current members, while seeking prospective member referrals and developing partnerships with companies and organizations to increase the Club’s Membership. Responsibilities also include attending community activities to create and maintain Club awareness and developing Social networking initiatives through the Website, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, and more.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develops and leads a strategic membership development program designed to increase total membership count and membership revenue.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of advertising and promotional campaigns designed to generate membership sales.

  • Develops and ensures proper maintenance of an accurate contact management system including all records, database and activity management.

  • Maintains membership records on all members.

  • Prepares monthly membership reports for facility manager and owners.

  • Networks with community partners including, but not limited to: Chamber of Commerce, local tourism councils, exchange clubs, local corporate executives, business leaders, and media contacts.

  • Monitors business forecast.

  • Monthly sort and help in member billing/mailing

  • Annual membership directory

  • Follow up with all member leads

  • Member renewal letter & account updates

  • Knowledge of club’s bylaws, rules, and procedures

  • Upload email database regularly to Club Broadcast

  • Upload database from Golf Now/ Golf Switch to Club Broadcast

  • Create a monthly Newsletter

  • E-Blasts Members/ Non Members (Club Broadcast)

  • Collateral Material- regular updates

  • Receiver of General IMGGCC email account/ respond as needed

  • Member Forms –regular updates

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

  • A minimum of 2 years sales experience (preferably in the hospitality industry)

  • High-energy, outgoing personality

  • Outstanding written interpersonal communication skills are a must

  • Strong technical literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and all Social Networking Initiatives

  • Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, Community Leaders, and Employee Partners

  • Creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills

  • Applicant must exhibit a professional appearance

  • Applicant must possess a passion for providing high-quality Member service, and commitment to exceeding expectations.

  • A superior work ethic

  • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues

  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced organization

Preferred Skills

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.

  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.

  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.

  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
