Sales and Marketing Business Intelligence Sr. Consultant, Cloud Client-computing / VDI / Wyse - Austin, TX

Dell is looking for a Sales and Marketing Business Intelligence professional to join our team in Austin, TX.

Working with Marketing VP and Sales VP, this role provides forecast, analysis, and business intelligence support to Cloud Client Computing global sales and marketing teams. Analyzes, interprets, maintains and reports data. Serves as the business unit data steward, establishing validation and testing protocols to maintain the integrity of the data. Delivers ad-hoc data and report requests for business partners. Develops, runs and prepares various statistical analyses and reports based on both internal and external data sources. Utilizes various software packages and tools for collecting, mining, interpreting and reporting data. May be responsible for granting and terminating system access to data.

Analyzes business data, providing assessments of trends, identifying and explaining variances from goals. Elicits and documents business requirements to produce meaningful insights and metrics, identifying trends and insights that improve business performance. Designs, develops and implements business intelligence dashboards and reports to facilitate data review and analysis. Proactively analyzes trends, causes and variances. Champion process improvements, best practices and knowledge sharing within the organization as it pertains to business intelligence, analytics and data integration capabilities. Maintains databases, cleansing and validating data as needed. Develops database logic to extract required information for reporting. Creates and distributes both routine and complex ad-hoc reports.

Acts as lead on data mining and reporting projects

Build sales account playbooks for global sales organization

Utilize data to identify purchasing trends and build sales plans

Continuously monitors, identifies and implements best practices, new tools and methods

Creates and implements executive level reporting strategy

Aligns multiple organizations around difficult or complex solutions and issues

Applies understanding and hands on experience in industry standards and tools

Collaborates with leaders from teams and business units

Provides recommendations to senior management on strategic issues

Significant contributor to organizational goals and objectives

Requirements -12 years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a Master’s degree; or 5 years with a PhD; or equivalent experience -Advanced technical aptitude

-Advanced presentation skills

Preferred

-Expertise with the following: Salesforce.com, Eloqua, D&B Hoovers

-Competitive campaign analysis experience

-Familiar with Dell database structure and terminology
