DESCRIPTION Your research experience and ability to bridge data with opportunity are needed as an essential partner in the Advertising Strategy Department. As Marketing Research Manager, you will work alongside GSMs, Sales Managers, and the Strategic Initiative Managers to contribute data, analysis and recommendations towards revenue projects and execution. You will identify trends, opportunities and threats using traditional and non-traditional research platforms and tools and share these findings with internal stakeholders and external clients in order to grow revenue. This position reports directly to the Director, Advertising Sales & Product Strategy. * 50%: CONTRIBUTE MARKETING RESEARCH FINDINGS, ANALYSIS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO SALES PROJECTS; PRESENT RESEARCH INTERNALLY TO STAKEHOLDERS AND EXTERNALLY TO CLIENTS; ATTRIBUTE AND MEASURE REVENUE TIED TO USAGE OF MARKETING RESEARCH * 25%: GROW AND DEVELOP DIRECT REPORTS/TEAM * 20%: MANAGE/DISTRIBUTE ONGOING RESEARCH UPDATES - COMSCORE, SCARBOROUGH, AND WORK WITH CMG CUSTOM RESEARCH AS POINT GUARD * 5%: OTHER STRATEGIC SUPPORT DUTIES, AS NEEDED TASKS * Partner with GSMs, Sales Managers and Strategic Initiative Managers on client and/or category revenue projects; contribute research analysis and recommendations to help facilitate revenue growth * Use syndicated research including Scarborough, Kantar and Nielsen to arm the sales teams with the data needed to help pitch and close new business * Identify opportunities for revenue growth and/or threats for revenue contraction; provide research insights to internal stakeholders to address these business issues intelligently and in front of the opportunity and/or threat * Serve as the AJC point guard with CMG custom research; lead, execute, and promote custom research studies and take responsibility for measuring/attributing revenue tied to the usage of the data * Mentor and manage workflow, professional development and performance of direct reports * Perform and present client file analyses and recommendations to clients in professional business setting; speak to trends in the data, how the data impacts the advertising strategy, and what the client can take from this data in conjunction with the AJC team to improve results and ROI * Employer's Job# 1712884Please visit job URL for more information about this opening and to view EOE statement.
