Job No. 17-037brJob Title: Finance Administrative AssistantbrDepartment: FinancebrSupervisor: Finance ManagerbrHiring Range: $ 36,200 – $44,300brUnion Position: YesbrBenefits: Yes brHours: 0.5 FTEbrClosing: 9:00 P.M. on May 30, 2017brbrPosition SummarybrUnder the direction of the Finance Manager, the Finance Administrative Assistant processes cash receipts, maintains appropriate records relating to cash collections and the performance of clerical and administrative functions to support the Finance Department.brbrEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned: liPerforms central cashier function and revenue reporting functions for the Library/li liMonitors cash receipts; maintains tax revenue records and inputs revenue into the accounting system/li liMaintains records relating to cash collections/li liPrepares documents, spreadsheets, maintains databases utilizing Microsoft Office software/li liMaintains department records and files/li liReviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment/li liPrints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks and distributes signed checks as required/li liProvides back-up support for the Finance Department/li liPerforms monthly general ledger reconciliations/li liCompiles data for 1099 reporting/li liCollects tax documents from vendors/li /ul brMinimum Qualifications include: liHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)/li liMinimum 3 years’ experience in accounting/li liSkilled in utilizing a variety of office software applications, particularly those in the Microsoft Office group/li liAbility to work effectively with minimal supervision/li liAbility to organize work and set priorities/li liAbility to manage multiple projects efficiently/li liStrong attention to detail/li /ul brPreferred Qualifications include: liBachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration/li liExperience using Great Plains software/li liExperience using computerized accounting software/li /ul brbrbrThe above is intended to describe the major responsibilities and requirements for this position.brIt is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of all duties, responsibilities or requirements.
